Sky Arts Urban Myth series includes a comedy based on the infamous scene with the Sex Pistols on Bill Grundy’s nightly show. The incident actually ended Grundy’s show but the memory lives on. Acme re-created various elements of that time for the production. Acme recreated NME Magazine, The Sun with the Sex Pistols headline featuring the young actors playing the Sex Pistols and Steve Pemberton playing Bill Grundy.
Period Props for dramas and documentaries are recreated so that the graphics look new rather than vintage pieces on set.
The latest advert in the Vodafone campaign with Martin Freeman as a shopper approached by criminals in a basement car park. Acme Graphics designed the Exterior and Interior Car Park signage and all the food packaging that Martin Freeman complains about at the end of the advert. There was actually 30 pieces of package design created but cut in the edit. Luckily lots of Acme work did make the edit and featured heavily in the commercial.
