SKY Urban Myth: A comedy based on The Sex Pistols on Bill Grundy’s show

Sky Arts Urban Myth series includes a comedy based on the infamous scene with the Sex Pistols on Bill Grundy’s nightly show. The incident actually ended Grundy’s show but the memory lives on. Acme re-created various elements of that time for the production. Acme recreated NME Magazine, The Sun with the Sex Pistols headline featuring the young actors playing the Sex Pistols and Steve Pemberton playing Bill Grundy.

Its Christmas! Time for christmas commercials

Over the year we have been commissioned to do various  Christmas Commercial graphics. Bespoke package design for a Mcdonalds Commercial, set in a toy shop based on a love story between an animated doll and a spaceman toy.

We created the Doll box which featured in the shop window and the bespoke vintage feel calendar with tear off pages of nostalgic snowy christmas scenes.

Large period prop book

We were challenged by the request to design, print and make a large Medieval style religious book for Todd Margaret series 3.

The dimensions had to be 15 inches high, 12 inches wide and 4 inches deep, far larger than any production print book to wrap around.

We bought a few large atlases and guillotined down the pages to a uniform size and bound them together. Printing our design onto parchment paper, with a blue leather cover and gold vinyl produced surprising results:

Gold spray paint on the page edges finished off the effect with a thin dividing ribbon.
